  	Fatima Aziz' father was good friends with Gandhi and she recollects meeting him several times. The first time she was with Gandhi was when her father flew to London in 1931, for the second Round Table Conference. Someone in the press snapped a photograph of her as a baby girl with Gandhi. She recalls her many other encounters with the leader, including her last one, when Gandhi was observing a day of silence.

  	Mansoor Quettawala reminisces about pre-Partition Karachi, which he called the cleanest city in India. The streets were washed every day and the roads were broad, with hardly any traffic. He compares that time with today; back then, he remembers a crate of oranges costing as little as 75 paisas.
